With one piece, I always consider the importance of the arc and the magnitude of the antagonists, then compare them to other arcs. Despite what people are saying, I would guess 1 and a half to 2 more years to finish. They can only put out 52 episodes a year, considering some will be fillers, I'd say around 80-100 episodes left.
TL;DR the pacing problems in the anime are (IMO) singlehandedly enough to make the manga the better option. However, though incomplete and of dubious legality, One Pace is a much more convincing option than the uncut Toei episodes, so if you like the other benefits of the anime, consider that.
